1. What personal information do we collect and for what purpose?
A2Z Adventures collects several personal data in order to perform the services requested by the user. For example, to receive our monthly A2Z Adventures newsletter, e-mail, name and interests need to be provided, while for booking a trip, complete personal details (including birth date, personal address and others) need to be provided. Personal information regarding diet and health issues are only used by the tour leader for your safety in case of an emergency.
A2Z Adventures will not share your e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, personal address or other data with other companies, organizations or individuals, without your explicit consent.
A2Z Adventures does not share your billing information with any other companies or organizations except to process your credit card for your A2Z Adventures trip payment.
A2Z Adventures may share your name, nationality and birth-date to contract your personal trip insurance.

2. Website navigation
Each time a user visits our website, navigation information is collected by our servers. This information is aggregate and anonymous. It gives us information such as the number, frequency and duration of visits to each web page which we use to improve the content and navigation features of our website. A third-party cookie such as the Google Analytics Advertising Features may also be placed on your computer that will collect information about your visit to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Usage of such cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

3. Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?
The access to all personal data is only granted through UserId/Password to a very well defined group of users. These users typically are: the A2Z Adventures manager acting as controller of the processing of personal data and the A2Z Adventures administrative team dealing with your booking.
No personal data is transmitted to third parties, except name, nationality and birth-date for insurance purpose and billing data in case of credit card payment.

4. How can you verify, modify or delete your information?
In case you want to verify which personal data is stored on your behalf by the responsible controller, have it modified, corrected, blocked or deleted, please send an e-mail to webmaster@a2z-adventures.com by explicitly specifying your request.
Special attention is drawn to the consequences of a deleted request, in which case any trace to be able to contact you will be lost.

Alto Alentejo and its rolling hills covered with wild flowers waits for you. You'll have the chance to get to know the famous Lusitano horse breed and visit places like Marvão, the «eagle nest» castle or Évora, UNESCO heritage. Cycling through the Natural Park of S. Mamede, next to the border with Spain, you will have fun... and don't forget to smell the flowers!

Lisboa | Marvão | Stº António das Areias (Warm-up)
Meeting at Lisbon and transfer to Marvão (230 km | 2h40m). Marvão is surrounded by the São Mamede mountains, a few kilometers from Spain. This quiet village is protected by walls built between the 13th and 17th centuries, at more than 862 meters above sea level, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. It is breathtaking!
After lunch, adaptive ride from Marvão to the hotel in Santo António das Areias.

Loop Menir das Meadas
The pretty and pleasant town of Castelo de Vide, was already of importance in Roman times. It stretches up one of the slopes of the hill it sits on, and within its walls a remarkable heritage has been preserved: churches, fountains, mansions, gothic portals and a Jewish quarter. The houses are whitewashed and the alleys form a labyrinth. It is well worth visiting the Baroque Church of Santa Maria, the eighteenth century Town Hall, the "Town Fountain" in carved stone, the 13th century chapel of St. Saviour of the World and also the synagogue. Póvoa e Meadas will be the first stop - this town was founded by the Templars around the current Church of Mercy (Igreja da Misericórdia). Then admire the Menhir of Meada, built more than 5000 years is the largest menhir of the Iberian Peninsula with 7.15 meters high.

Stº António das Areias (Marvão) | Flor da Rosa (Crato)
Leaving Marvão behind you will pass by Portagem and visit the Roman remains of the city of Ammaia. You will reach Flor da Rosa. This town has a beautiful monastery (now an inn) that was built in 1356 and where you will be staying. This is one of the richest areas in Portugal in terms of prehistoric monuments, in the area of Crato there are more than 70 dolmens.

Flor da Rosa (Crato) - Monforte | Vila Viçosa
You will travel through magnificent landscapes and villages, such as the town of Monforte, which is positioned on top of a solid and imposing hill on the left bank of the Ribeira Grande River. Alter do Chão is a fascinating place and old place. In Roman times it was known as Elteri, but Alter do Chão already existed in 204 AD. Evidence of this history can be found in the Vila Formosa bridge (a national monument). Vila Viçosa, your final destination, is known as the Marble capital of Portugal. Time to visit Vila Viçosa´s Ducal Palace, the former residence of the Dukes of Bragança from the beginning of the 16th Century. The main facade is completely covered Italian marble inspired in the Renaissance architecture.

Today's ride will take you to the small village of Juromenha, near the border with Spain. The Guadiana river is the real border between the two countries. You will also pass by Alandroal and Bencantel and return to Vila Viçosa.

You leave the beautiful Vila Viçosa, known as the Marble capital of Portugal and head to the city of Évora, UNESCO World Heritage. You will pass by the fields covered with wild flowers and typical Alentejo landscape with its rolling hills.

Évora | Arraiolos
Pedal to Arraiolos famous for their typical carpets known throughout the world. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the famous interpretation center of the Arraiolos carpet. Admire the greatest Arraiolos carpet in the world, still in production with more than 120 sq meters. You will also have time to visit a quite unique pottery!
