1. What personal information do we collect and for what purpose?
A2Z Adventures collects several personal data in order to perform the services requested by the user. For example, to receive our monthly A2Z Adventures newsletter, e-mail, name and interests need to be provided, while for booking a trip, complete personal details (including birth date, personal address and others) need to be provided. Personal information regarding diet and health issues are only used by the tour leader for your safety in case of an emergency.
A2Z Adventures will not share your e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, personal address or other data with other companies, organizations or individuals, without your explicit consent.
A2Z Adventures does not share your billing information with any other companies or organizations except to process your credit card for your A2Z Adventures trip payment.
A2Z Adventures may share your name, nationality and birth-date to contract your personal trip insurance.

2. Website navigation
Each time a user visits our website, navigation information is collected by our servers. This information is aggregate and anonymous. It gives us information such as the number, frequency and duration of visits to each web page which we use to improve the content and navigation features of our website. A third-party cookie such as the Google Analytics Advertising Features may also be placed on your computer that will collect information about your visit to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Usage of such cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

3. Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?
The access to all personal data is only granted through UserId/Password to a very well defined group of users. These users typically are: the A2Z Adventures manager acting as controller of the processing of personal data and the A2Z Adventures administrative team dealing with your booking.
No personal data is transmitted to third parties, except name, nationality and birth-date for insurance purpose and billing data in case of credit card payment.

4. How can you verify, modify or delete your information?
In case you want to verify which personal data is stored on your behalf by the responsible controller, have it modified, corrected, blocked or deleted, please send an e-mail to webmaster@a2z-adventures.com by explicitly specifying your request.
Special attention is drawn to the consequences of a deleted request, in which case any trace to be able to contact you will be lost.

Discover the hidden Zanskar Valley in the Indian Himalayas, in close contact with Buddhist culture. Hike over suspended bridges, explore remote villages and monasteries in perfect mountain settings. After all it is the world's highest mountain range! Follow prayer flags on the way to the Ladakh Kingdom until you reach the Phuktal Gompa, one of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in Ladakh, built on a limestone cliff. Don't miss the assembly hall carved out of a huge cave. This trip can occur simultaneously with the MTB program with some meeting points. The Himalayas and its people will stay in your heart forever!

Daily Itin­er­ary

New Delhi - Manali (Himalayas)*
Meeting at Kulu airport (recommend early morning flight Delhi-Kulu). Transfer (30 km / 18.6 mi) from Kulu airport to Manali (2050 m / 6726 ft) and hotel check-in.Optional acclimatization walk and visit to Old Manali and Vashist temple with its hot springs. Accommodation and transfer common with MTB expedition group.

Manali - Rothang Pass - Khoksar - Keylong (Transfer: 95 km / 60 mi) Optional Walk (8 km / 5 mi | 2-3 h)*
You will travel first by 4x4 until Rothang pass (3950 m / 12959 ft) 45 km / 28 mi outside Manali. From this pass you can enjoy a wide panoramic view with mountains rising far above the clouds. A breathtaking site! At Khoksar (15 km / 9.3 mi away from Rothang pass) you will check your passport at the police control and stop for a tea. You will arrive at Keylong (3156 m / 10354 ft) at lunch time and go for a walk to visit the Buddhist monastery (3280 m / 10761 ft) on the other side of the valley (2-3 h). Accomodation and transfer common with MTB expedition group.

Keylong - Darcha | Palamo (12 km / 8 mi | 4-5 h)*
The day starts with a transfer of 35 km / 22 mi by 4X4 to Darcha (3300 m / 10827 ft). From here, and after registering at the police control, you will start your trek in direction to Palamo (3690 m / 12106 ft), your camping site. This is a comfortable 5 h hike with time to enjoy and acclimatize. The trek goes through the villages of Chikka and Rarig, before crossing a bridge to Palamo. Accomodation common with MTB expedition group.

Palamo | Zanskar Sumdo (9 km / 6 mi | 4-5 h)*
Trekking to Zanskar Sumdo (3940 m / 12927 ft). Still in the process of acclimatization, you will walk slowly enjoying this first day of immersion in the Himalayan mountains (4-5 h). All the trek is made on an unpaved road until a massive boulders slide, just before the camp site. Accomodation common with MTB expedition group.

Zanskar Sumdo | Chumik Nakpo (12 km / 8 mi | 5-6 h)*
Trekking to reach Chumik Nakpo (4400 m / 14436 ft), covering approximately 12 km / 8 mi in about 5-6 h. The trekking starts with a steep climb after the campsite that gradually eases up to Chumik Nakpo, your Shingo La base camp. In between you will have the chance to stop to have lunch in one of the beautiful meadows refreshed by pure Himalayan springs. Accomodation common with MTB expedition group.

Chumik Nakpo | Shingo La | Lakong (14 km / 9 mi | 7-8 h)
Early breakfast. You will hike to reach Lakong at (4400 m / 14436 ft) passing by Shingo La (5100 m / 16732 ft). The climb to the pass is not difficult by Himalayan standards, but the downhill through the glacier is quite steep. A series of prayer flags mark the Shingo La. From the top of the Pass, there are spectacular views of the peaks of Ladakh. Witness the impressive backdrop of the Baralacha range. Trekking and MTB groups will be together at the pass and from here will split for the next couple of days. This is one of the longest and tiring days.

Lakong | Kargyak (16 km / 10 mi | 6-7 h)*
You will cover 16 km / 10 mi to reach Kargyak (4150 m / 13615 ft), in about 6-7 h. New mountains fill the landscape, once we are entering Zanskar ancient Tibetan Kingdom. On the way, you will stop for lunch at the idyllic spring of the Gomporangen holly mountain with its vertical 5200 m / 17060 ft. At the evening a special party at villagers house together with the MTB expedition group.

Kargyak | Shin | Testa | Tablay | Kuru | Purne (12 km / 8 mi | 5-6 h)*
Trekking to reach Purne (3900 m / 12795 ft) passing by lost Buddhist villages such as Shin, Testa, Tablay or Kuru. After Testa you will cross a bridge over Kargyak river and continue on the single track, beaten by yaks and sheep. Accomodation common with MTB expedition group.

Purne | Phuktal Gompa | Purne (14 km / 9 mi | 3-4 h)
This is a relaxing day to visit Phuktal Gompa (3800 m / 12467 ft), one of the most impressive Gompas (Buddhist temple) in the Ladakh Kingdom. The monastery, situated on a limestone cliff is impressive with an assembly hall carved out of a huge cave. The walk until the monastery takes approximately 2 h, leaving plenty of time to visit the temple and even chant some mantras (prayers) with the Lhamas (monks).

Purne | Cha | Kaydang | Hamuni | Surle | Ichar (18 km / 11 mi | 5-6 h)
Cross small canyons of pudding stones leading to Ichar village (3720 m / 12205 ft). The trail over hangs Kargyak river and is hard going. You will cross the villages of Cha, Kaydang, Hamuni and Surle before arriving to Ichar after 5-6 h of trek.

Ichar | Reru - Padum (8 km / 5 mi | 3-4 h)*
From Ichar you go down to Reru (3800 m / 12467 ft). This will be a short walk with a final hard climb of 100 m / 328 ft just before arriving to Reru. From here you will travel the 20 km / 13 mi by 4x4 until Padum (3500 m / 11483 ft), passing by Bardan Gompa and Muney village. Padum is the most remote village of Zanskar with modern commodities such as internet, post office and restaurants. Accomodation common with MTB expedition group.

Padum - Pensi La Pass - Rangdum - Kargil*
Transfer To Kargil (2650 m / 8694 ft). This will be a full day (6-8 h) to cover the 110 km / 69 mi from Padum to Kargil. In between the astonishing views over 7000 m / 2297 ft snow peaks, in particular the famous Nun and Kun. The road includes the Pensi La pass with 4400 m / 14436 ft before reaching Rangdum (3600 m / 11811 ft) with its remarkable gompa. Accomodation and transfer common with MTB expedition group.

Kargil - Fotu La Pass - Leh*
Last day of drive before arriving to the ancient capital of Ladakh - Leh at 3522 m / 11555 ft. It will take you 7-8h to make this road (230 km / 140 mi) that includes Fotu La pass (4094 m / 13432 ft). On the way you will still have the opportunity to visit the famous Alchi monastery. Accommodation and transfer common with MTB expedition group.

Leh*
Free day in Leh, capital of Ladakh. Last opportunity to buy souvenirs. But don't miss the chance to visit the Palace, with a similar architecture to the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa and the interesting mosque with Buddhist influences, the oldest in the region and unique in the world. Accommodation common with MTB expedition group.
Lodging: Hotel in Leh

Leh - Delhi*
Transfer to airport to fly back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, transfer to downtown (optional). Free afternoon for city tour in Old & New Delhi. Return flight during night.

However, if you have already booked a trip departing the following year and the trip price subsequently rises by more than 10%, you may cancel with a full refund.
