Kaçkar mountains and alpine flowers

Hike in the Turkish Kaçkar Mountains and walk in remote places between Europe and Asia. Visit old villages from de 10th century and stay in little pensions and villages.

Discover the hidden Turkey walking in the foothills and ridges of the Kaçkar and Güngörmez ranges, next to the Armenian and Iranian borders. At this time the snow still covers the main ridges, so the views towards Kaçkar are fabulous. Tiny alpine flowers have emerged from the snowmelt. Snowcock and black grouse will be visible amongst the rhododendrons and we even may see bears. On the last day we have an optional rafting excursion on the Barhal river. Try something different!
